Daniel Wanjiru and Mary Keitany are Kenyans who have won the 2017 Marathons in London. Prince Harry was among the guests that graced the event.
Wanjiru and Keitany won the men’s and women’s races for Kenya respectively. Keitany set a new women’s only world record in the process. This is the quickest ever time since men and women started racing separately.
This is Wanjiru’s first ever Marathon he participated. Keitany breaking the women-only world record and second fastest marathon runner was not a surprise as she always made it all times.
Among other participants were Abel Kirui, Stanley Biwott, Vivian Cheruiyot, Helah Kiprop and Florence Kiplagat.
